Artist's Comments

A design of a fictious glass of red/white wine Modelled+detailed in 3dsmax + Zbrush. The heart took 2 afternoons to complete, paying special attention to the anatomical precision... it has 670000+ faces, but unfortunately, it seems to be overdetailed: with this glass material, that only reflects/refracts/generates caustics, and hides special detalis....I could have the same result in 1/10 the faces, and work time...
Rendered in 3dsmax / Vray, orig. size 1500*1500, sampling 1..4, indirect illumination and caustics on, Primary bounces set to Irradiance map/high qual, secondary to QMC/4 bounces...render time was about 4,5 hours (AMD Athlon 3000+).
It's just the pure output of smax, I didn't want to upload the photoshopped version in this category...the minor bugs are fixed in that.

Ahh I'm such a sucker, I thought this was a photo for sure. Saying this is a well executed concept would be an understatement (although it pretty much hit the nail on the head) Excellent job with the lighting!

The black thing on top the bottle (don't know the english word for it) is juct black, no detail, no texture :(
But it's great idea and I like it's simplicity.
